AMT
MATLAB/Octave toolbox of auditory models for reproducible research. Its loudness models include the Moore–Glasberg models for stationary sounds (moore1997, chen2011), time-varying sounds (glasberg2002) and binaural loudness (moore2016).
| Full name | Auditory Modeling Toolbox |

| Repository | https://sourceforge.net/p/amtoolbox/code/ |
| Homepage | https://amtoolbox.org |
| Language | MATLAB Octave |
| Kind | Library/Toolbox Functions to call from your own code: a Python package, a MATLAB toolbox, or a C, C++, C#, Rust or Julia library. |
| Group | established Described in a publication, used by others, or written by the authors of the model, with more than a year of history. A widely used toolbox for auditory modelling that also includes some psychoacoustic functions. |
| Licence | GPL-3.0 SourceForge lists the licence as GPLv3. The COPYING file of release 1.6.0 says that most files are under GPL 3.0 and some under other licences, each file stating its own; the headers of the loudness models ( moore1997, glasberg2002, moore2016) allow version 3 or any later version. |

What it implements
| Metric | Edition | Functions | Validation (as stated) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Moore–Glasberg loudness | Chen et al. (2011) | chen2011 | standard or paper data | Listed as "CHEN2011 - Fast excitation pattern estimation". |
| Moore–Glasberg loudness | Moore, Glasberg & Baer (1997) | moore1997 | standard or paper data | Listed as "MOORE1997 - Loudness model for stationary signals" in models/Contents.m. |
| Time-varying loudness (Moore–Glasberg–Schlittenlacher) | Moore et al. (2016) binaural | moore2016 | not stated | Listed as "MOORE2016 - Binaural loudness model". The header says Josef Schlittenlacher provided the original implementation for the AMT in 2018, from code written for ANSI S3.4-2007 and ISO 532-2:2017. |
| Time-varying loudness (Moore–Glasberg–Schlittenlacher) | Glasberg & Moore (2002) | glasberg2002 | standard or paper data | Listed as "GLASBERG2002 - Loudness model for time-variant signals". |
How it was validated
As reported by the project; LISQM has not run the code. Two implementations that agree can still share the same error. Kinds of evidence.

Notes
- Releases are published as downloads on SourceForge (
amtoolboxandamtoolbox-full); the git repository's default branch isdevelop. The SourceForge project page mentions no GitHub or GitLab mirror. - Also contains
bramslow2004, a loudness model considering hearing loss (AUDMOD), with the experiment scriptexp_bramslow2004; it has no reference entry in this list. - Neither the develop branch nor release 1.6.0 has a roughness, fluctuation strength, sharpness, tonality or annoyance model (
osses2021is a monaural perceptual-similarity model). - Python ports of some of its loudness models exist: torch_amt (
glasberg2002,moore2016) and NumpyLibforPsychoAcoustic (moore1997,glasberg2002). There is no official Python package (amtoolbox and pyamtoolbox are not on PyPI). - The validation entries rest on AMT's design: each
exp_…script is meant to reproduce figures of the model paper. The scripts' output was not checked for this list.
