IoSR Matlab Toolbox
Legacy project. Not maintained. Its last commit was in August 2017, more than three years ago. Kept here for reference. Its code may follow an older edition and may not run with current software.
General-purpose MATLAB toolbox from the Institute of Sound Recording (University of Surrey) for auditory modelling, signal processing, source separation, statistics and plotting. For this list it provides ISO 226:2003 equal-loudness contours; it has no loudness, sharpness or roughness models.

How it was validated
As reported by the project; LISQM has not run the code. Two implementations that agree can still share the same error. Kinds of evidence.
The project does not say how any of these were validated.
Notes
iosr.auditory.loudWeightreturns loudness-weighting coefficients derived from the 65-phon ISO 226:2003 contour.- The two functions are also published on MATLAB File Exchange, as submissions 50348 ("ISO 226:2003 Normal equal-loudness-level contours") and 50349 ("Loudness weighting coefficients").
Before you rely on it
- ISO 226:2003 was withdrawn in 2023 and replaced by ISO 226:2023; the function follows the 2003 edition.
- No commits since August 2017.
