MoSQITo-FDP
Legacy project. Archived by its authors; its last commit was in July 2021. Kept here for reference. Its code may follow an older edition and may not run with current software.
Archived Python snapshot of a MoSQITo fork made for a final-degree project. It adds the Sottek Hearing Model with specific and total loudness (ECMA-418-2, 1st edition) as a step towards hearing-model tonality, and contains tone-to-noise ratio and prominence ratio after ECMA-74 Annex D.

What it implements
| Metric | Edition | Functions | Validation (as stated) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sottek Hearing Model loudness | ECMA-418-2:2020 (1st ed.) hearing model with specific and total loudness | comp_loudness | standard or paper data | legacy Module mosqito.functions.hearing_model. Its author committed the same hearing model to MoSQITo on 2021-05-30, two weeks before this snapshot. |
| Tone-to-noise ratio and prominence ratio | ECMA-74:2019 (17th ed.) Annex D | comp_tnr, comp_pr | own tests only | legacy |
How it was validated
As reported by the project; LISQM has not run the code. Two implementations that agree can still share the same error. Kinds of evidence.
- Sottek Hearing Model loudness · ECMA-418-2:2020 (1st ed.)
standard or paper data
Ported or adapted from MoSQITo (the author's own code).
- Validation scripts compare the ear filter and model output with figures and values from ECMA-418-2 and ECMA-74 Annex F.
- Tone-to-noise ratio and prominence ratio · ECMA-74:2019 (17th ed.)
own tests only
Ported or adapted from MoSQITo.
- The README lists TNR/PR as available but not validated; the tests use synthetic tones in white noise.
Notes
- Commits run from 2021-06-13 to 2021-07-05. The package inside is still named
mosqito, and later work went into MoSQITo itself. - The hearing-model code cites both ECMA-418-2 (1st edition, 2020) and ECMA-74 Annex F (17th edition, 2019).
- Also contains the Zwicker loudness, DIN 45692 sharpness and Daniel & Weber roughness of the MoSQITo version it was forked from.
Before you rely on it
- Archived snapshot without releases or maintenance.
- The README marks hearing-model tonality (ECMA-74:2019 Annex G) as under development; the repository contains the hearing-model stages, but no separate tonality function was found.
