MATLAB code of the fluctuation strength model of Osses, García & Kohlrausch (2016) (`FluctuationStrength_TUe.m`), with the stimuli of the paper and a demo that reproduces its figures.

## What it implements

| Metric | Edition | Functions | Status | Validation (as stated) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| [Fluctuation strength (Osses et al.)](https://zhenxianli.github.io/LISQM/metrics/fluctuation-strength-osses.html) | [Osses et al. (2016)](https://doi.org/10.1121/2.0000410) (since 1.0) | `FluctuationStrength_TUe` | available | standard or paper data | — |

## How it was validated

As reported by the project; LISQM has not run the code. Two implementations that agree can still share the same error.

- [Fluctuation strength (Osses et al.)](https://zhenxianli.github.io/LISQM/metrics/fluctuation-strength-osses.html), Osses et al. (2016): standard or paper data
  - `demos/demo_osses2016a.m` reproduces the figures of the paper with the included stimuli (AM and FM tones, AM noise and excerpts of real sounds).

## Notes

- The header says the algorithm was "adapted from the Roughness model" and programmed by Alejandro Osses and Rodrigo García at TU/e, 2014–2016.
- The model is also documented in Osses Vecchi (2018), PhD thesis, TU Eindhoven (Chapter 2 and Appendix B), linked from the README.
- Version 1.0 is a git tag of 2019-12-31; the code was optimised after the tag, on 2020-01-02.
